Hi, my name is Claire Esnard and I am a grade 11 student at Dr. CHarles Best Secondary School in Canada. This is my first year as a member of the Social Responsibility Course and I am very excited to be a part of it! I’m a social butterfly and enjoy volunteering in my community as well as babysitting and tutoring younger students in various subjects. In my free time, I enjoy reading different books all parts of different genres, like romance and mystery. Other times I also enjoy thrifting and exploring new parts of the cities we live in. I also love sunsets. I will always have a picture of the sunset within 5 clicks on my phone.
One of my more limited hobbies is travelling.
I have been to 15 states in the last 2 years, and have trips planned for the coming months. I love road trips and destination vacations as well. One of my favourites was the Florida Keys. We drove from Miami to Key West. For those who don’t know, Key West is the furthest south you can go in the continent of North America. From the edge of the island, you can see Cuba’s coast. The most beautiful drive I’ve ever been on was down to the keys. It’s really just a long long long bridge connecting each island. The open sparkling waters just went on forever. It is a little tourist town full of different cultures and traditions than anywhere I’ve ever been.
Another thing about me is I’m an adrenaline junkie.
If you haven’t already guessed, I love adrenaline-fueling activities like bungee jumping and jet-skiing. I’ve always had a need for speed whether it was on a sled in the snow or on jet skis in the Gulf of Mexico, I love it. My dream is to go bungee jumping in New York City.
