Short summary of my story: High Schoolers Kaya and Hyuck are on a date, but not all is as well as it seems.

Exposition:

The story starts with Kaya and Hyuck finishing their date at a Starbucks (1) because Kaya loves their delicious drinks (1).

Point of Attack:
Kaya gives Hyuck a set of matching keychains (2) to commemorate their relationship (3).

Rising Action:

Hyuck is touched, and seeing that it is a set, asks if Kaya would like one back. Kaya leaves the choice up to him. Hyuck decides to keep both keychains, but leaves the bag she brought them in with a somewhat disappointed Kaya. Kaya shifts through her feelings, and realizes that Hyuck’s actions reminded her of a similar time a few years ago, with a boy who shares Hyuck’s ethnicity and was friends with Kaya.

Two years ago, Kaya was fast friends with a boy named Jun who took an interest in her because of her excellent grades (5). Their relationship progressed so quickly that they were as close within months as Kaya and her best friend were, and that relationship took years (6). Their classmates dubbed them “Jumara” (7). They started exchanging gifts.
