Hi! Here is my semester 1 inquiry wrap up reflection for my question – What creates pop music?
I have had so much fun and learned lots of new things about this topic and has made me realize just how important different genres are to create pop music.
What challenges did you overcome throughout this inquiry project?
When I was doing some of my research I realized that sometimes when you need to search up a topic that is very specific it can be difficult because there isn’t a lot of information on certain specific questions. An example could be when I would search up different questions with the key words “different genres” and “pop music” the same results would show up.
How did this inquiry project change the way you think?
Like I said, one thing about pop music is how other genres and different instruments have a huge impact on pop music. I also understand how time consuming making songs is as well and how much dedication these writers and artists put into their music.
How did this investigation impact your future decisions?
I have always had passion in writing music and listening to lots of pop music so I think if I do want to get into writing music and singing songs I would create a pop song and I think this research can prepare me for the future if I do decide to get into writing and singing.
What impact will this investigation have on others locally and/or globally?
I hope that people who see my inquiry project will take more time to really acknowledge some of the songs we hear on the radio but most of all smaller artists, and also instruments, samples and a huge one, lyrics in a song.
