Blog #7 – Reflection!

Hi everyone, Today I will be talking and summarizing everything that has happened regarding my inquiry question this semester! I am excited to say all the great ways this inquiry has affected me and how it can affect others as well as point out the struggles and great ideas I have learnt from it, for the following blog I will be answering some questions and explaning my way through how I thought for this inquiry question!

What challenges did you overcome throughout this inquiry project? How did you go about
overcoming these challenges?

During the research period of this inquiry question, I was quickly shut down, because my question was quite broad. I had to research very specifically, and unfortunatly all the blogs were repeating themsleves causing my research to become very sort of boring, but because I had found so many different resources, I was able to single out the posts that were very similar and pick out the different ones to show everyone, in order to give some kind of diversity throughout all my posts. Overall, I had an easy time finding alot of posts because of the resources that were provided for me, and this helped me smoothly figure out all the articles I felt were perfect for my project, to display for everyone on here!

How did this inquiry change the way you think?

This inquiry changed my mindset to be more aware of feeling of pets rather than just my own. I say this only because in the past, when I had been stressed, or a little sad, I would rely on my pet to comfort me, and though it was a very great solution for me, there had to have been times where my cat simply did not want any kinds of comfort, or was in a mood to give it back. Because of my research I became more aware of how an animal may think; therefore, giving me a chance to redeem myself and give back to my cat, instead of my cat giving back to me!

How did this investigation impact your future decisions?

As mentioned above, this impact allows me to give back more to my cat/pet because then they can feel that they have support when they need it as well, not simply when I need some comfort. This also impacted my life lots because rather than being treated as a support, I treat my pet as a friend now, and this allows for a deeper connection between us both because it shows the pet that their owner does actually support them.

What impact will this investigation have on others locally and/or globally?

I feel that the impaact my research will have on others is the impact it had on me. This is only because maionly when getting pets, people see them as a sign of support, and someone they can trust no questions asked because they cannot exactly understand the animal, and this can cause lots of issues with the pet and the owner because it gives the pet the idea that they are only being used, and not being taken care of as well. This question will help others give back more to their pets, and make them want to have a deeper connection with their pets rather than just see them as a cute animal who can help owners calm down during a time of stress.

Overall, this inquiry question has been very enjoyable to research because it helped me become closer to my cat, and I cannot wait to find another topic of interest to research in order to cause an impact on someone! Thank you so much for reading my past few blogs on my topic, and hope to be doing more research next time!
