1. Provide three steps for your research with a brief explanation of how this information will lead to addressing your question.
What is sex trafficking?
This information will lead to addressing my question because you must know what sex trafficking is before you can know how the world is affected by it. Once you know what sex trafficking is, you can then dive deeper into it’s impact on our society and why it is important to be educated about.
How many people are currently victims of sex trafficking and where is sex trafficking most evident in the world?
Information from this will help people understand how deeply our society is affected by sex trafficking. This information will show how large the problem really is by the shocking number of people being taken and used in sex trafficking. If we want to know the impact sex trafficking has on our society, we should learn where it happens most. Does it happen mainly in third world countries, or does it happen in more wealthy and powerful countries? If it happens most in the more powerful countries, that have more sway in our world, our society will be effected in more ways.
How are people forced or tricked into sex trafficking?
This information will help to answer my question as it can show some ways we are affected by sex trafficking without even knowing. People are often tricked into sex trafficking when they feel safe and are not alert. Sex traffickers will choose places or platforms you would not expect them to be in so they can trick you or catch you off guard. Things we use everyday and places we feel comfortable in, could be places sex trafficking hides without our knowledge.
2. Provide 5 valid sources that might be useful to address the question.

3. Explain how this question will have implications to other individuals and/or my community.
My question can help people become more aware and safe in their everyday lives. Sex trafficking is a problem that touches every community and person, even if they do not know it themselves. Sex trafficking affects things in our everyday lives we would never expect it to. My question can make people more aware of this very serious problem that is closer to them then they may think.
Hi Natalie,
This is an interesting topic! While sex trafficking is something that happens very commonly in our society, heavily affecting the lives of many people, it does not seem to be a question that is brought up often in the community we live in. Therefore, I am looking forward to learning more about it from your future blog posts.
One suggestion is that as part of your first research question, delving into the history of sex trafficking and connecting it with how it works today might be able to answer the question in a more well-rounded way. Analyzing and making connections between the two times might also lead to some interesting findings.

Hi Natalie,
I think you’ve picked a very interesting and important topic. While it is something that I think happens often in today’s society we don’t hear much about it. I’m looking forward to hearing about what you learn.

Hi Natalie!
This is a very interesting and important topic. I love that you chose this question because sex trafficking is something that is very common in the media and the society we live in but isn’t getting the attention that it deserves. I am invested and interested to see your upcoming blogs on this topic!
