Hi, my name is Aniela Guzikowski. I’m fifteen and a grade ten student at Charles Best Secondary in the English program.
I’m really looking forward to taking this course this year because I want to discover more things and connect with more people. I’m planning to do an inquiry project this year and I’m excited to come up with a question that I’m interested in. I’m hoping this course will allow me to explore things that interest me and to help me learn more about things that are important to me.
In regards to my post secondary future, I want to go into sciences. I’m not fully certain yet as to if that will be in a marine biology program or veterinary medicine, but I’m looking forward to whatever I choose. I’d say my academic dream is to go to Dalhousie University and I’m hoping I can get there.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and volunteering with local organizations. Some of my favourite books include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Six of Crows, and Shatter Me. My favourite subject is English and I love writing, which is part of the reason I’ve decided to do an inquiry project for this course. I think it will allow me to do something I love while researching something that I’m really interested in.
I’m looking forward to learning about things that are important to me as well as meeting many new people. I’m also looking forward to making new connections this year with this course. Thanks so much for reading and I can’t wait to get started.
