How can education help reduce plastic consumption?
My main priority in making my round #1’s research blog is to provide interesting and informative answers to the most frequently asked questions about plastics. My main focus will be on 3 questions along with 3 follow-up points. Explanations of every main question of why I chose them will be given. The questions and following points I’ll be answering in my first round of research are:
“When and why were plastics invented?”
– Who came up with the idea?
– What year did purchase in plastics peak in?
– What gave the inventor of plastics the idea of making them?
The discovery of plastics was not only talked about for its revolutionary cause but also its harmful impacts. By knowing when and why plastics were invented, I hope this gives my readers a better insight into why the inventor made plastics; as I found his reasoning interesting to learn about.
“How many types of plastic are there to exist today?”
– Do they all serve different usage?
– How different are they from each other?
– Which type of plastic is better for the environment?
For the sake of our environment, it’s important to know the different plastic types and their uses, as well as the resin identification codes found on each. This will help people make logical decisions when it comes to recycling. Understanding the plastic types can also help consumers make more informed
decisions related to our health and the environment. It’s important to become familiar with a plastic’s SPI (Society of the plastics industry) code, which is also known as a resin identification number and is used to classify the different types of plastic.
“How are plastics made?”
– Can they be made from natural resources?
– Are harmful chemicals involved in the process of making?
– Do different factories make plastics differently?
Plastics are the most common materials for producing many products, for everything from consumer products to medical devices. As our society becomes more dependent on the use of plastics, I believe it’s very important to let people know how are plastic parts made and how the process of making them can be so harmful.

I think its interesting how you looked into the history of plastic use. I think you’re right about people needing to know what they are using. Knowing more about plastic can prevent people from harming the environment. It could be useful to your readers to put your Blog post 3 questions at the end of your post! That would help me give more specific feedback if its possible. After finding all of this out, you could now look into educational programs that teach people about plastic use and see if it had a positive effect.

Hey Tiffany! Your inquiry question sounds great! Plastic has become one of the most used materials produced over the years. It can be a really helpful tool but at the same time very harmful for our environment. It is more like a scientific topic, and I really like it.
When explaining to us how plastics are made, you’re making us aware of the danger they can bring to us, since when it comes to recycling, we do not always realize the lives we can save by recycling and not only for our sake but also for the future generation’s.
