Question: Do schools in Kenya offer nutritious diets?
Why I am interested in this question: Because the digestive system helps people to survive. I also like how the digestive system processes food from one part of the body to another. Because without the digestive system maybe people could not eat and maybe die of hunger.
Rounds of Research:
Round 1: Proteins
Round 2: Carbohydrates
Round 3: Fats
Hi Hannah,
Awesome topic! I am eager to read your upcoming posts about this topic as it is very popular and it’s something we consume in our everyday life.
How would you elaborate on each of your categories during your research?
– Lokshana 🙂
Am going to search how each of them are digested and where they are digested.
Am also going to check the healthy foods that we should eat.
Ok, Sounds Interesting.
Hello Hannah,
What a fascinating topic! I am very interested in understanding how nutrition directly affects student performance. Your focus on nutrition specifically in Kenya is valuable for me to further expand my knowledge. The biggest stand-out to me in your question is your focus on the digestive system, a complex series of bodily functions that allow us to metabolize and use the nutrients in food to succeed in everyday life. Proper nutrition is often overlooked, but incredibly important in maintaining a healthy body and mind to ensure longevity. I would love to see you talk a little more about how proper nutrition allows the brain to prosper in a learning environment. For example, how do three balanced meals each constructed with whole carbs, fats and proteins able to not only give our body the energy it needs, but the brain for increased focus? Can improper nutrition have a direct affect on poor marks in school? Beautiful topic, and I cannot wait to see what’s in store in your future blog posts!
