Hi everyone,
For my action, I am planning to sell homemade baked goods, such as cookies, brownies, and small cakes, then donate the money earned to the BCSPCA. To start, I will need to go grocery shopping and pick up a few gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. Once I have found the recipes I want to use, I will bake and then package everything. If all goes well, every week I will go with my parents to various sports tournaments and I will set up a small stand where I will sell my treats. Towards the end of the semester, I will round up the money earned and donate the funds to the BCSPA.
Selling homemade desserts will definitely have its challenges. I’ll need to balance baking, organizing the events, and advertisements too. I also have to think about food allergies and different dietary restrictions, making sure the treats are safe for everyone. I will try to use reliable websites for recipes to avoid a baking disaster. And on top of that, I’ll need to consider the cost of reusable containers for people who purchase the baked goods. Even with these challenges, I believe that it’s worth doing to help animals.

Making homemade baked goods to raise money for the BCSPCA is something that can help animals and the community at the same time. People can enjoy tasty treats while supporting a good cause. It also brings people together and helps them discover the amazing work that the BCSPCA does. However, it’s important that I plan well, so it doesn’t become too much to handle or overly time consuming. If done regularly, this will be a fun and effective way to raise money and support animals in need.

To make a positive impact, I’ll set clear fundraising goals ($60), share the BCSPCA’s mission, and use eco-friendly practices. For example, I will only use reusable containers when selling the treats, and I will prioritize local ingredients too. I’ll also encourage others to get involved and reflect on each event to improve future outcomes, making that my action truly benefit the animals and the community both.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to carrying out this plan!
