At this point, we’ve finished our action project. For those who are new, my and my partners decided we wanted to donate money to the Wildlife Rescue Association of BC. This is an organization that helps injured, orphaned, and pollution-damaged wildlife. To get the money to donate, we donated the bottles we had at our houses and did a park clean up to collect even more bottles. The reason we are collecting the bottles is to keep them from landfill and stop them from being polluted. We did this to not only raise money, but to raise awareness so that others can also work on helping these animals.

Now, we are at a point where we have collected and donated all the money we made. In total we made around 65$ that has been donated to provide bird rescue gear to the association.

Some successes that we have had was making enough money to donate to a specific plan. Unfortunately we also faced some challenges. One of the biggest challenge was doing the park clean up. We waited too long to do it, therefor had to do it in the snow. Because of the snow it was difficult to find and pick up bottles so unfortunately we only made 10$ from it.

For anyone who is thinking of doing something like this, I very much recommend doing it. There are lots of animals and people in need that could really use your help. More than 5,000 wild animals in need are admitted every year to the Wildlife Rescue Association of BC so they could use our help(1).
