This question interests me because Instagram is a huge part of my life and the lives of many people around me. I’ve noticed how it can impact self-esteem, confidence, and even relationships, and I want to understand why. It’s important to know how social media affects our thoughts and behavior, especially as teenagers, since we spend so much time online. By researching this, I hope to learn more about its effects and how we can use Instagram in a healthier way.

Hi Amir,
This is such an intriguing inquiry question! I also agree that I have noticed how Instagram affects my self-esteem because I constantly compare myself to others. However, I don’t think I will ever stop using it since it helps me stay connected with others. A question I have for you is do you think there is a certain age kids should be allowed to be on social media since nowadays we have very young kids on the app as well? Furthermore, I would love to find ways to use the app in healthier ways which you are also looking into. So below I have found a couple of links that might help you with that. Nevertheless, good luck with your research!

I love this inquiry question! This relates to me and probably other teenagers as Instagram sets unhealthy standards and expectations, but it is hard to stop using this app since it helps me see what is going on with my long-distance friends’ lives and family’s lives. I would love to check back on you research and learn more than what I already know! I will put some links that will hopefully help with you research, feel free to use or not! Good luck with your project!
