Blog post #3- Cookies for a cause

Hi everyone! I wanted to share how my progress has been with the Cookies for a cause. I have been part of a bake sale. I advertised, baked, and sold treats at an autumn bake sale to earn money for BC Children’s Hospital. Meetings are bi-weekly on Thursdays but in the background, I have been posting on our social media when it is necessary for information.

Some successes I had was with making a video to get people informed about the bake sale as fast as possible by using social media trend or when I made delicious, half vanilla and half chocolate cupcakes with frosting to sell at the bake sale making sure the club had enough varieties of treats. Another success I had was when I told everyone I knew about the bake sale so the information would spread.

One challenge I faced was when I wasn’t able to make the chocolate frosting as thin as I wanted because I needed to pipe the cupcakes, making me double check the ingredients before deciding to use it to make another treat for my family and restarting the whole process of making the frosting. Another challenge was when the bake sale was slow when I was doing it before I told  my friends to go tell their friends about it making more and more people learn about getting us more sales.

I am next going to find out more information about the next bake sale this Thursday and start thinking about how I can make more people know about the bake sale, so they bring money to support us. Some ways I am already brainstorming are by making uniquely decorated treats or by making each season’s flavors like winter can be peppermint for Christmas. Another way to let people know about this club is by advertising better like making social media account on all known platforms or by making more trendy videos to get people engaged.

Thanks for reading! I hope you guys come across my next one!
