Hello. My name is Eden Geddes, and I am a grade ten student who attends Charles Best Secondary School in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. My favorite block in school is lunch because I get to spend time with my friends and just talk and have fun. When I am not at school, I am either at practice or with my friends.
My friends had introduced me to Butterfly last year but it was too late to join so I decided that i would join this year. My friends chose to do an action project which was teaching kids to recycle and I thought that was so cool but also very interesting. Seeing as recycling isn’t something commonly taught in school I thought it was great that they were the ones to go and do that.
My passion is sports, more specifically the ones I play currently soccer and competitive swimming. I have been swimming since the start of grade 1 and I have been playing soccer since the start of grade 1 too. When I tell my new friends I used to dance they are always really surprised they say it just doesn’t fit my personality. I find that crazy because I loved it so much and I want to join again but I feel like I’ll be too behind compared to the other people. It was a big part of my life when I was younger because before I did swimming or soccer I did dance. I started dancing when I was but I stopped when I was 11 before of covid because I didn’t like doing dance classes online. I did so many different types of dance, for example, I did tap, ballet, lyrical, musical theater, and jazz.
To me, a perfect best friend is someone who is always there and always trying to support you in any way they can. They are someone you can be yourself around and talk about anything. They are someone u trust and you wouldn’t keep secrets from. They are someone who you can talk to with no judgment or negativity and only support and positivity
