Hello! My name is Amy Zhang, I am fifteen (I turn sixteen near September’s end) years old, and I am an eleventh grader at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School. My favorite subject is English, specifically Creative Writing. I started taking this course last year and this is my second year taking this course. I am leaning towards doing more Story projects as the story projects need more representation (and there were a lot of mistaken tags unfortunately).
My courses for this year are mostly science and math oriented as I am encouraged to be a software engineer. My extracurricular activities include running my club Girls in Robotics, which I started to encourage women to pursue careers in STEM fields as we need more representation, Girl Guides, piano lessons, and taking Mandarin 12 with the Confucius institute of higher learning.
In my free time, I read National Geographic articles and watch the TV series “Foundation” based on the book of the same name. I also like squishing my nine-year-old cat, Michonne, who sleeps everywhere except her bed XD.
