Story – Using Film – Mitch Boucher

I would like to make a video showing us the a multiple of day to day things/activities both of us take for granted yet are very unique. For example filming how students get to school here in Canada, compared to how the students in Kenya get to school. This idea originally intrigued me because I find that it’s crazy how different lives can be, or even how many similarities we have. I want this video to get rid of stereotypes and to show more stories about who we are. I would love to work with a filmmaker in Kenya. I’d like to share everyday footage that we can put together as a team to show more stories about each of us. It would be fun to edit together and share our final films on the site.

  1. I love this idea! I think it would be super cool to look at life here vs life in Kenya, and I can’t wait to see your final product! I think that when comparing two different lifestyles, it’s important look at cultural differences as well, since our cultures impact our lives so much. I think that even just here in Canada there is a difference in culture and lifestyle from family to family, so that might be something interesting to consider as well. I look forward to seeing your final product!
