Action blog post 1 (Values)

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first action blog post! For my action I will be selling a variety of baked goods in order to raise money for the BCSPCA.

After completing the values activity, my most important values include family, risk and spiritual growth. My least important values were tradition, power, and responsibility.  I think these values describe me well. If I was to add another core belief I would add loyalty, as it is very important to me. My top three values are important to me for many reasons. Family is essential to me, because without my family I would not have the support I have. I think risk is important because if you don’t take risks, you won’t get anywhere in life. And finally spiritual growth. My religion is a very big part of my life and my identity, therefore it is a core value.

A time that I took a risk was at the start of the school year, I was in a class with a few of my friends but that was not a class that I enjoyed after the first week was over. I changed my schedule and made lots of friends in my new class. I took a risk and blindly changed my schedule, and it paid off.

In the future I can incorporate some of my values. A good risk might be starting a new hobby or project, like joining a club or starting a business. The risk is that it might be challenging, but the reward could be learning new skills and meeting new people.

17 Sustainable Development Goals

Donating to the BCSPA would fit under Goal 15: Life on Land. This goal is about taking care of animals and nature on land. By supporting pet shelters, I will be helping protect animals and giving them a better life. This also aligns with one of my values, Spiritual Growth. My religion supports doing what is morally right. And by helping out these animals, I will be doing that. That would be my passion. Supporting pet shelters is important because it helps protect and care for animals that need love and a safe home. By donating or helping out, we can reduce the number of stray or abandoned pets, and that helps improve the overall well-being of animals on land.

To support this, I will be setting a goal to raise $60 to donate.

I look forward to reaching my goal for this project. Thanks for reading!
