Isabella’s Inquiry Post #1: “How do human efforts and attempts to fix nature compare to letting nature heal itself?”

Hi there! This is my first inquiry blog post of this semester, and I will be stating my question and the reason why this question interests me.

My inquiry question:

“How do human efforts and attempts to fix nature compare to letting nature heal itself?”

Why this is a question that interests me:

I have always been curious about nature’s resilience and flexibility and whether it can recover on its own without human assistance. With increasing environmental challenges like deforestation, pollution, and climate change, I believe that understanding the best method for the recovery of the environment is more important than ever.

This question interests me because I care about the environment and am curious about the best ways to aid in nature’s recovery. Since both natural restoration and human support have proven effective in different cases, there is no easy solution. Researching this topic could perhaps help us decide when we need to help aid nature and when it may be better to let nature to “fix” itself.

By exploring this question, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of how we can support ecosystems most effectively.

Thanks for reading!
