Hello everyone, my name is Xiaoyu Lyu, preferred name being Scott, I am currently 17 years old, and I live in Burnaby, B.C., Canada. I am currently attending Ecole Dr. Charles Best Secondary School, and my favourite subject is any subject that I can learn from!
As a grade 12 student, I have came to appreciate my passion for debate and diplomacy, where I have recently taken over the School’s Debate team and Model United Nations club, and I hope I can realize everyone’s dream about becoming a better debater, and to attend MUN conferences across Canada. I signed up for Butterfly effect back in grade 9, where I was just trying to get some extra credits, but I stayed in the class for the amazing experience and being able to connect with like-minded students from everywhere. Now I am nearly 80 credits over the required amount and I am still taking the class, for it had treated me well, I had learnt a lot, and it was the one of the most fun classes that I have ever had in high school.
For this semester, I have decided to take on another inquiry project, where I will be learning more about ADHD and the cause of it, which would help me be better equipped to try to find the solution/cure to ADHD in the future.
I am looking forward to reading more and learning more about everyone else on the website!
