My name is Chloe Mah, Im currently 14 but soon to be 15 in October. Im in grade 10 and attend Charles Best Secondary School, and live in Coquitlam, BC. I live with my family, which is my mom, dad, brother, dog, and I. When I attend school, my favourite subject is science or English because I am quite good at both.
I currently play 3 sports in my free time, I play hockey, lacrosse, and track. I am part of the Tri Cites Female Ice Hockey Association and am a part of the U18 A1 team currently. I previously played for the Adanacs in the spring/summer and hope to continue this upcoming year, lastly, I participate in the track team for my school. I wanted to join Butterfly because I was interested in what it had to offer and what benefits I could gain by joining and participating, I hope to gain new knowledge and improve my skills within while taking this course. I originally heard of this co I think that my strongest trait would be my personality because I believe that I am quite outgoing and love sharing my opinion when it comes to class discussions. I also feel that I am quite extroverted which is good when talking with others and is seen as a good trait to have.
To me, the word “community” means a group of individuals that have come together to try and achieve a common goal. These communities are not based off looks, beliefs, or opinions but based off a common end goal. Being a part of a community is important to me because i feel that it is important for everyone to be able to share their opinions in a safe place no matter what. With many issues happening in the world, if I had to solve one issue it would be helping the homeless people around the world and getting them they help they deserve. I think that this has been an ongoing issue not only in Downtown, Vancouver but also in other areas around the world. It’s important that these people are still treated equally and are given a chance to try and change their lives around, while receiving the support they need.
In my future, I hope to have a very successful job. Being successful is my main goal; however, I want to be a part of a community that I enjoy being a part of. What I mean, is that I want to enjoy the job I will do, even if that means I won’t be as successful. If i work hard in school I hope to become a plastic surgeon later on in life. I know many plastic surgeons and many are very successful, they have a balanced work schedule while also getting the ideal income. Being a doctor is one of my bigger goals I hope to achieve as I get older.
Music is very important to me as well, I love the rhythm in music and the meanings you receive within. I have different tastes of music, and dont stick to one. I love listening to PND (party next door) and Sza In my free time. My favourite song currently is Make it to the morning by PND, this song is my favourite because I love the rhythm and the sound of the song and how it is all pieced together too.
When I have free time in my schedule, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Watching shows ad baking is also another one of the things I enjoy doing because I get to spend time with the people around me. Most of the time, when I have free time, I spend it with my friends Ishani, Lexi, Sydney, Trysten, and Abby. These individuals mean a lot to me and are my best friends. Best-friends to me are someone that is always there for you and knows what’s best for you in that moment. A best-friend to me doesn’t have to look a certain way, however, my best-friends are all extremely understanding and funny. Trust is very important when it comes to friend ships too because you should be able to trust the people you are around, and if you can’t, I don’t believe that they are the right people for you.
