Action blog post #3- recycling project!

As mentioned in previous action blog post me and my other classmates are planning on doing a presentation and a fun activity to teach younger kids the importance of recycling and how it is properly done. we are trying to see which elementary schools will let us do our presentation and maybe even some middle schools if possible. so far we are putting together the PowerPoints and activities we are going to do with them. we are also contacting some schools so we can continue our action project. the success is coming together as a group to make a plan in how we will get the information out. we are trying to make the information as clear as possible. some challenges we have faced is not contacting the schools but for the schools to make a time that we can go. however if we let them know a lot more time ahead then they most likely will make a time for us to come in and do our presentation. Next we are going to see the dates with the schools and confirm everything.

  1. Hello Dara,
I like where you are going with your action project, and teaching younger kids the reasons why they should recycle. What activities are you going to do with them? One suggestion I have is to make sure all the PowerPoint slides have minimal words and only include key words and sentences to help keep them engaged. You could use more pictures and real life demonstrations to make it even more fun for them. I wish you the best of luck on your sharing impact of younger children!
