Hi everyone and welcome back to my final inquiry blog post on the question “What is the root cause of gender wage discrepency in Kenya?”. In this post, I will be reflecting on my inquiry project and the process of answering this question. Let’s get started!
First, I will be talking about what challenges I had to overcome during this project and how I overcame them. This project was definetley a lot harder than some other research projects that I have done because my question is not one that is commonly discussed and talked about. It also does not have one confirmed answer like some other questions do. I couldn’t just type my question into google and find the answer. Instead, I had to divide my question into a bunch of different subtopics, and then research those individually. I then put together all of my research to form an answer to my main question. While this question was pretty hard to research, I am super glad that I chose it because I got to learn a lot about how gender roles and stereotypes affect our world and reach many different countries.
To follow up on my previous topic, doing this project has really helped change the way I think and the way I view the world. From this project, I have learned a lot about life in Kenya and the struggles that impact women and girls in the country and in the world as a whole. I have developped a much better understanding of the struggles that women face worldwide and how much needs to change in our global society. However, I have also gotten to learn about how things are looking up and tradition and culture is evolving in Kenya to be more inclusive of women and girls, and learning about that brought a smile to my face.
Having done this project and having looked into this topic, it will impact my future decisions and actions. Knowing the struggles that women and girls face in Kenya has made me even more glad to be a part of PA-MOJA because we are making contributions to help people in Kenya. I am very glad to have done this project because it has made me more passionate about being involved with PA-MOJA.
To follow up on my previous paragraph, I hope that this project will have an impact on the people who read it and will help others to understand the struggles and hardships that women face in Kenya and in the world. I hope it will inspire people to look more into this topic or just help to raise awareness, no matter how small. In conclusion, this has been a very successful project and I have learned and benefited a lot from it and I hope that others will too! Thank you for reading this post.
