My name is Brian Counselman and I am a teacher at Shabazz High School in Madison, WI. I love science and am a science teacher and project based learning coordinator for our school. I really like getting out in nature and exploring the community with students! I grew up in a smaller town in Wisconsin but have lived in Madison for the last twenty years or so. I like the diversity of people, variety of activities, and access to spaces that Madison provides. I’ve traveled to quite a few international locations and had the opportunity to study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa for a semester in college. I really love learning about new environments, people, and cultures! One thing I love to have students explore is their own curiosity and really look forward to sharing student projects with the Butterfly Effect Community!
