Topic: Forestry

Comment from Ms. Stuart:

The Kenyan students have been working on making presentations about a topic that they were finding a bit difficult in school. They are now busy writing exams and so I’m putting their slide shows up so that students from Charles Best can see where they are at in the process. None of the slide shows are complete, but we are hoping to finish them on October 25th when the students are done their exams.  If you have any thoughts or ideas, please leave the students a comment.

  1. Hey Snaida,
Amazing PowerPoint! Your inquiry project about forestry is very intriguing to read. A question I have for you is which factor impacts our forestry the most positively? Nowadays, I feel like our forestry is suffering due to negative changes in our climate. This is because climate change has led to an increase in forest fires. Maybe you can add a portion in your slideshow that talks about how we can protect our forests. This is just a possible idea, but if you are interested in looking into it I have provided a couple of links below.

  2. Hi Snaida, I really liked seeing your Powerpoint presentation and I think your topic is really fascinating and a great one to do research on. A question you can think about addressing in your project is “What are the current issues facing forestry?” I immediately thought of this question while looking at your presentation because I think it is also important to connect your topic to today’s world and what is happening within our society today. Other than that, I really liked the pictures you included in your PowerPoint and I think the visuals really help to get a better understanding for your viewers.
