One of the reasons I chose this question is because I’ve been researching how billionaires became rich, and the internet played an important role in their success. Two people in 1989 created the guidelines for data transfer for data to go to another computer, and today it plays a gigantic role in many people’s lives. The success of big companies, games, and social media all need the internet to support their companies. Many high-paying jobs nowadays use the internet to work, advertise, send emails, and much more. In this generation, plenty of kids and teens tend to be on their devices being on social media, and playing stunning video games, and what makes those apps and games possible? The internet. The whole world has evolved so much in the past decade thanks to the internet. Looking at such a helpful domino effect, how would life be without the internet? People’s habits would be changed drastically, companies would grow nowhere as fast, and not just anyone would have the ability to invest. The possibilities keep me driven to research as much as I can to understand the difference and to share what I have found with others. After this study, I hope to have a mind full of possibilities that are created from real life, understanding that it’s possible for one person to change the entire world with one thing.

I think this is a really interesting topic, because our generation is almost the first generation to grow up with the internet, and personally for me I know i completely rely on it. So questioning that what would have happened if the internet did not exist is a really cool idea!
