Organic Chemistry ; Detergents

Hi everyone! I  am exited to start a new project. This round I’m doing a school topic that challenges me a bit . This is because we have a very short school term so we could not finish a whole butterfly cycle, instead we chose and also helpful approach to guide us through our studies.

I chose to study Organic Chemistry, specifically detergents. I wanted to understand better how soapy and soapless detergents are prepared and also their cleaning action in water. My study involves being able to write the chemical equations for the reactions involving their formation, know the functions of the components involved and their advantages and disadvantages. I’m planning to use different sources; google, my coursebook, videos and my fellow students to understand the sub-topic better.

After that,  I am going to teach my fellow butterfly effect students, even those a grade lower. I’m planning to use simple flowcharts to explain the processes involved and use as simple language as I can. What methods do you guys think I should use when teaching it? if you have any sources that could help me in my research, kindly link them below. That’d be so helpful.
