Hey guys, I am Glory. For my new project I am doing a school project on one of the courses that i take. I chose to do mitosis which is under cell division since it was challenging for me. We are finishing this term at the end of October so we don’t have enough time to do a full inquiry project instead we are going to teach about a topic in one of our courses that we find difficult to understand.
I have gotten to research about my topic more and I have been able to understand. The most interesting thing about mitosis is that it occurs in phases for example; interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase, I think the best way to make a student understand and be engaged when teaching mitosis is to use images, videos and props. I used to find mitosis difficult since I thought that it was occurring the same as fertilization. I thought it occurred to form a baby but now i know that it leads to growth of an organism. I have gotten to love and understand its difference with meiosis, I have also understood the different stages of mitosis.
Hey Glory! I loved reading your blog post because it was easy to understand and a topic that many people might find challenging! I remember when I first learnt about Mitosis, I too found it difficult and it took me a while to understand.
Like you said, videos are a great way to understand topics like this which is why I found this video, which I hope, helps you in some way!

This video goes through the steps and helped me understand the concept easily.
I loved reading your blog post and wish you all the best!

Hello Glory,
After reading your blog post I found I connected with you as the concept of mitosis I struggled with too! However, applause to you for challenging your self with something you find difficult to further your understanding! I love how you explained how you grew your knowledge to understand the concepts and differences between mitosis and meiosis!
following with how you were talking about how its easier to understand the concepts from videos and pictures, maybe you can make a picture/ image so show your understanding in a simpler way for others to understand too!!
