Hello everyone, I’m Ishani, a 14-year-old, grade 9 student at Dr. Charles Best Secondary.
A little bit about me is that I was born in New Delhi, India but moved to Canada five years ago in 2018. Moving to a new country and school was a massive change for me, though it was an exciting adventure. Some of my passions and hobbies are travelling, listening to music, and photography.
I truly love the idea of visiting a new place and getting to explore every bit of it. Learning about new cultures, landmarks and meeting new people makes travelling even better than it already is. Throughout my life, I’ve mostly travelled around Asia and North America. My dream is to visit every country in the world and make new memories every day. One of my favourite vacations was when I went to New York. Seeing the fast-paced city life, outstanding views and meeting new people were some of my favourite memories. Exploring the city was an amazing adventure I am so grateful I got to experience. Another one of my passions is listening to music. I LOVE listening to new songs, artists and albums no matter how good or bad my mood is. Music is something that I think we can all relate to no matter how different we all are. In addition to this, I also love photography. Getting to capture a mesmerizing sunset or even a picture of my friends is so breathtaking in its own way. Photography is just another form of art, the same way music is. One of the many reasons I love taking pictures is because it helps capture the moment. Looking back at photos or pictures from my childhood brings back so many moments and memories I would have forgotten if it wasn’t for the picture.
Something else I am truly passionate about is becoming a Lawyer. My dream career is to become a Corporate Lawyer. Working in a big company, meeting new people every day and helping people around me excites me more than anything else. I’ve wanted to be a lawyer for the past four years. I have always been passionate about law and can’t wait to see what my future has in store for me.
