My name is Julie Wang, I am seventeen years old, and I am a twelfth grader at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School. My favourite subject is English. I took this course when I was in Grade 10 and I quite enjoyed it, so I am taking it again in Grade 12. I am hoping to do a story or inquiry project this semester. I also really want to do many fundraisers so that we can help the children in Kenya.
I have a passion for singing, dancing, and acting. This year, I am involved in three different class at my performing arts academy. One of the classes is musical theatre. The show we are doing this year is SpongeBob The Musical. In April, my class will be performing four shows over the course of three days at Riverside Community Church. I am also very passionate about looking after dogs. In August 2022, my family started a dog sitting business, which means we look after people’s dogs when their owners go on vacation. I absolutely love dogs and I play with them every single day.
In my free time, I like to practice my gymnastics skills or read a book. I am currently reading a book called “The Alchemist” and it is so good; I definitely recommend it. When I grow up, I want to be an elementary school teacher. I love working with little kids and I am a patient person, so I think being a teacher would suit me well. Additionally, I have two younger siblings and I always help them with their homework, so I already have a bit of experience.
