Hello everyone! Thank you so much for reading all of my blog posts about my inquiry this semester! I really enjoyed being able to research a thought that was always in the back of my head, and am glad I was able to reflect on all the possible options I have for my future!
The challenges that I had for this inquiry project was finding more different information! My topic of gap years was a very wide and fun topic to research; however, the different research papers, and resources that I would read and look at were all saying the same thing, so it was quite difficult to find more of a variety of activities that are different than ones I have already said! How I overcame these challenges was by changing the way I researched the questions! I would constantly type in different words related to gap years, and doing this I was able to find and show you all different types of information about my question.
This inquiry changed my perspective of Gap years in a deeper way, because at first my only idea of them was that they are only for travelling. However, upon more research, I found all the different activities you can do on a Gap year that will actually make you more elevated and qualified then others who may have not gone on a Gap year. This inquiry also gave me a more positive idea about Gap years as we all know sometimes they are not known to be the best thing, depending on who you ask.
This research caused me to consider the different options I have for my future, other than Post-secondary schools. As someone who is still not sure of what I want to do for my future, I want to be able to be sure that I am going into a passion that I actually want to learn more about; therefore, this research helped me consider some actions I may take instead of rushing off to post-secondary.
I am not quite sure how this will impact the world, but as someone who is very indecisive, I switch through the idea of going on a gap year, or going to post-secondary a lot, and with these posts, and the research I was able to do, it opened lots of different options that I was unaware of for me, and hopefully for those who are jumping between what they want to do for their future, hopefully these blog posts help them out!
Thank you so much for reading my past blog posts, and hope to see you all next year! Hoped you enjoyed reading!!
