Hello everyone! Today I will be introducing my new inquiry question for this semester. I have decided to pick inquiry becasue this was a question that came to mind as i thought more about my future. The question I decided to choose is whether it is worth it to go on a gap year or not. I have dcided to reseach this because thought personally I have no plans of going on a gap year, i want to see what I will be missing out on, and maybe this research will cause for me to rethink my choices about my future. I think this can be very interesting to research becasue it allows me to see many different point of views.
Hope to see everyone stick around to see the end of my research, and I am excited to see how this can change my mind for the future on whether i should change my thoughts or stick to my original plans for the future!!
Hello Negar,
I love that you chose this subject for your research. I have plans to go to university next year, however, I know other peers that are choosing to take a gap year. I often question the benefits and downsides of both separate routes. I have never considered taking a gap year, however, working and travelling during a gap year sounds terrific. A suggestion I have for you is to research if study habits are affected when taking a gap year. I look forward to learning more from your blog posts!
Goodluck with your research!

Hi Negar,
This is a really relevant subject that you’ve chosen and I am looking forward to read your posts. I know it is a route some take when they might be unsure about their future endeavours, but I am curious to see the other potential benefits and downsides to this.I have a few suggestions of questions you might want to look into: How does taking a gap year affect college admissions? What are some cultural differences you may encounter during a gap year abroad? How do you finance a gap year? I think this would be helpful and interesting to look into!
I look forward to reading your further research!

Hi Negar,
This is such a cool question to research! I’ve always toyed with the idea of a gap year before going to university. It can be so beneficial for some people. My question would be if taking a gap year often causes people to change their minds about future education. Of course, there is nothing at all wrong with that, but it would be interesting to see if taking a gap year can change your decisions regarding post secondary education.
A resource I found that might help you with your research is: https://www.bestcolleges.com/blog/what-is-a-gap-year/
Good luck with your future posts!

Hello Negar,
What an interesting topic with lots of room to include things that many classmates can relate to! I respect the fact that you are taking the time to research this question even though it is not something you think is in the cards for you. I am particularly fascinated by the many ways in which a gap year can be spent with practically endless options of things to do or see while participating in one. I would love to know how you would spend a gap year if you were to take one, and how you would plan to transition into post-secondary following the break. Nevertheless, I wish you well on your research and blog posts!
