Blog Post #2: Project Plan

Inquiry question: How do sports affect mental health?

My three steps of research:

  1. Why are sports so important for individuals?

This will be the first question I will research as it will be the base of my inquiry question. This will explain the importance of sports on the human body both physically and mentally, which will be able to help me build more on my topic. Additionally, it guide the audience and give a general idea of the topic and question I am researching.

     2.  How are sports connected to our brain activity?

By researching this question, I can begin answering part of my inquiry question. Understanding the connection between the brain and the body. How and why are they connected. This will help determine how sports affect our mental health, mood and wellbeing. This will help lead to the final answer of how sports affect our mental health either positively or negatively.

3. How do sports negatively and positively affect our mental health?

This is the final question which delves into my inquiry question. This question will help finalize my inquiry question while supporting my two previous questions. This will connect all my questions together while giving a full explanation on how sports affect mental health. Additionally, it will conclude my question with a final detailed answer.

  2. Hi Mai,
This project plan is very informative. Sports, as you stated, have a significant impact on people, and many people’s lives nowadays revolve around sports. Although exercise is beneficial to the human body, organized sports can have a negative impact on the brain sometimes. Anxiety before games, for example, and upset emotions after a loss all can bring stress to the brain.
