Hello, my name is Mai Kadora. I am currently attending Dr. Charles Best Secondary, as a french immersion grade 12 student. This is my first year taking Social Responsibility. I am excited to learn more about what this course has to present. I am looking forward to meet new people, learn more about my community and other international communities. This year, I am hoping to do an inquiry project to further my knowledge and learn about a new topic of my interest.
As for myself, I am a very athletic person. I have been doing multiple sports since I was a child. Although I have never throughly continued one from childhood, I learned multiple different sports that have become a hobby of mine. Some are snowboarding, running, swimming, and more. A main sport I started two years ago is Taekwondo, it is a korean martial arts sport. It focuses mainly on kicking, but has other important values such as concentration, discipline, patience and humility. I am currently a red belt and will hopefully get my black belt sometime next year. It is truly my favourite sport to do, all the way from physically to mentally. It has truly formed to me to the person I am today.
In my future, I am hoping to go into pharmacy and become a pharmacist. I have not decided what type of pharmacist I would like to become, but the field interests me copiously. I would love to help kids with Taekwondo in the future, so they can experience and receive the joy I felt practicing the sport.
In my little free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy exploring new places and going to cafes. Additionally, I would like to learn how to skateboard in the future. I would also like to start reading more books, both fiction and non-fiction, in order to learn more and view people’s different perspectives.
