This round of research is all about the impacts of xanax and there are a lot of bad impacts but there are a few reasons why xanax is helpful. I feel like a lot of people didn’t know that xanax was actually good and bad in different ways so that’s what I’m going to talk about.
The first thing I’m going to talk about is the good stuff. So like I said in my last post xanax is a prescription drug which can be used for lots of good. Some ways it helps is it helps if you have a sleeping disorder and have troubles sleeping(1), and also it helps with anxiety which is what most people use it for. (1)
So there are many bad impacts xanax has and one is it depresses your nervous system if you take it for a long time and can have major effects on your emotional state. (2) It’s extremely easy to overdose on xanax because of how addictive it is. (3) Some side effects of overdosing on xanax are drowsiness, lethargy, dizziness, headaches, slurred speech, and poor memory. (2) If you misuse it, it could lead to big problems down the road like memory problems, depression and addiction. (2)
The popularity in youths using xanax has gone up tremendously which is a terrible thing. (4) A thing people find is that when people around you are taking xanax it’s very hard for you to stop just because everyone around you is doing it. (4) A lot of people actually blame their doctors for them getting addicted to xanax and that seems pretty stupid but I guess that kind of makes sense.

Hi Wyatt,
I’ve heard that some addictive drugs have very good effects when they are used as medication for intense diseases or disorders. However, as you mentioned a bad effect is that they can be very destructive In the long term, what would you say is a good way to maintain that addiction?
good luck with your research!
