a. What challenges did you overcome throughout this inquiry project? How did you go about
overcoming these challenges?
During the research part of the inquiry project, I had encountered many obstacles, but the hardest one was when I was researching the effects of world war 1 and world war 2. I had found out that many websites that talk about them were very biased, and some of them were partly incorrect. I had felt frustrated realizing that, because if they were biased, I would have to reread all my notes and go through them one by one to correct all the mistakes and errors, and it meant that I had to do way more research on the project than I had predicted. But I told myself it was too late into the project to quit, and then I went on to more researching, went through 50 more articles, and watched 14 more documentaries. In the end, I eventually corrected all the mistakes in my notes that I could find, and had finished my research in more depth and with fewer errors.
b. How did this inquiry change the way you think?
I had very little idea about the world was before I was born, and research on the effects of the widespread wars had really helped me to gain a vision of what this world used to be, how had people lived their life back then, how had the world improved, and what were the costs of those improvements that had made our life way easier than people who lived not very long ago. Researching about the wars had really made me realize how easy our lives are, we would not need to worry about the Spanish Flu, the Flu Pandemic in 1918, and the Black Death Plague that killed hundreds of millions of people, we would not need to worry about waking up tomorrow, and our country is going to war with the entire Globe, we would not need to worry about staving…
c. How did this investigation impact your future decisions?
This investigation made me realize how interested I am in history, and I would like to focus more on history classes in the future and learn more about what had happened in the past.
d. What impact will this investigation have on others locally and/or globally?
I hope my research would help people to grow more interested in the history of humankind and I think it is very important to learn about the past.
