Hi, my name is Chantal Morales. I am 16 and attend Dr. Charles Best Secondary school. This is my third year in the french immersion program at Charles Best and my first year taking Social Responsibility.
I have been wanting to join Social Responsibility since I got to this school and saw what this program had to offer. Because of COVID and other reasons I didn’t end up joining until now. I decided to join because I have always loved helping others and my community. I believe that this course is the perfect way to learn, make a difference and meet others who also share this goal. Through Social Responsibility, I hope to find more opportunities and connections in which I can broaden my reach and help in more ways, whether that be educating myself, sharing my knowledge with others or volunteering in new places.
While I do not think that I have found my passion yet, there are many things that I love. I love spending time with my friends and family, watching tv shows on Netflix and travelling around the world. I love volunteering with kids and art and there are actually several places that I frequently volunteer at in my area that have all been amazing and incredibly valuable experiences. When I was little, I wanted to be an artist and while my goals have changed I still enjoy art and sharing it with kids. A goal of mine is to volunteer abroad and hopefully find my passion that I can further pursue in the future.
