Hi everyone!
My name is Sofia, I’m 16 and attending grade 11 at Charles Best Secondary. My favourite subject at school is Social Studies/History.
What might surprise others is that I’ve lived in three different countries (Brazil, Argentina and Canada) and I’m trilingual; I speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and reading. I really like reading both fiction and non-fiction books, usually on social issues topics. I am currently reading Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
The social topic that I’m most interested in is Women’s studies. I like to read and get informed on women’s issues around the world, and in my own community/culture. One of my favourite authors/theorists on the topic is Andrea Dworkin.
The prong of Butterfly Effect that most interest me is Inquiry-Based learning.
