About Me- Shieva Mokhtarnameh

Hi everyone!

My name is Shieva Mokhtarnameh. I am 17 years old and I go to Dr. Charles Best Secondary School. My favourite subject is art.

One thing about me that might surprise others is that I am an art teacher at a studio in Port Moody. I like my job and I have been working there for four years now. I am very passionate about art; recently I’ve been steering away from my usual artistic ways. I’ve been trying to filter my creativity into writing and collaging. For the most part, I make oil paintings, but I also draw, knit, and love to read. My strongest attribute would have to be my loyalty to my friends. I think friendship is one of my most important values. I respect all of my friends so much and am always satisfied when I’m in their company; of course, I hope the same goes for them. Positivity is also essential to me. I have not mastered the optimistic mindset but I try. I find it crucial to control your circumstances in your favor to the best of your ability.

If I could have any job right now it would be a full-time artist. I am sure that I want to keep creating in the future but I also want to help others. Realistically, I am thinking of going into nursing and doing art on the side. Hopefully, in the future, I’ll have time to volunteer as well.
