Action Plan Report #1

Action Plan Report #1

This is my first action plan report about good health and well-being. My action plan was to help kids with a healthy and active lifestyle. I would do this by making sure all the kids have water and maybe even bringing snacks for them after practice.Image result for hockey kid drink water  The kids I coach are very young, so I believe it is very important to teach them good habits right from the start. I have been bringing extra water bottles for the kids who happen to forget their water. And I have also been bringing extra “fiber one” bars for the kids after practice, I believe this is very important because they are growing and need nourishment after they have been working hard at practice, this also applies for water, they are constantly sweating and losing water that they need to gain back to help their young bodies recover properly. Of course, I have talked to the coaches and parents and let them know of my intentions and the reasoning behind it. This has worked out very well because it reminded a lot of parents that their growing kids need water while they are playing sports, they also were reminded that you need to replenish a lot of the nourishment that their kids lost during sports practice. Since I have talked to the parents there has been a huge improvement in kids who are bringing water to practice. I have also seen a lot of kids walking out of the rink eating a granola bar or eating fruit, seeing this give me a huge sense of accomplishment and make me feel like I have had a positive impact on these young kids lives and I hope that they remember the lessons that I taught them throughout the rest of their port careers. This was also a good reminder to myself to make sure I’m staying hydrated throughout the day and bringing food for after a practice or training session. I have noticed a huge impact since I have started this because I’m a high-level athlete. I will continue this and hope my progress improves
